If you walk through the streets of Lviv or Kiev, you don't feel the war directly. In the cafés and restaurants there is a Western European atmosphere, if you are attentive you can see groups of soldiers boarding vehicles from time to time.

In the seminar, in conversation with the social workers, psychiatrists and psychologists the war becomes clear in its effects: The fathers are missing in their families, the concern for the men on the front is huge, many families have lost the man, father, brother on the eastern front. Thus the situation in the seminar “Trauma from childhood to adulthood” is almost unexpectedly clear. The contents are based on the TraumaAid concept TPSS+ and teach the use of therapeutic methods and safely applicable EMDR techniques to stabilize clients of different age groups.

The response is almost overwhelming: People know through the activities of TraumaAid that they are not left alone and that there is an awareness of the situation in Western Europe. Our translator and psychologist Olga Oljinik is fully committed - she forms the bridge between the cultures.
